Valerie Shoaps is a sports photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Covering all types of action sports, sports photojournalism and music, she loves photographing anything that moves.

Shooting professionally for a number of years, she combines her passion for photography with her other favorite interests. "Photography provides me a way to be involved beyond just a spectator - it's a way of melding with the subject to bring out what they do and reveal their character."
